Učenci 7. a so po nekaj dneh, ki so jih preživeli skupaj s švedskimi učenci, v angleščini zapisali ‘blog’ oziroma članek o določenem dnevu ali celem tednu.
THE INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE WEEK
On Monday Swedish students came to Rakek. On Tuesday we walked around Rakek and took photos. On Wednesday we went to Ljubljana, there we walked to Rožnik. Then we went to Prešeren’s square. There we ate ice cream and walked. Then we went to the seaside in Izola. There we had good fun. Next day we went to Križna Cave ad castle Snežnik. In Križna Cave we saw beautiful stalagmites. In castle Snežnik we saw old things.

On Tuesday I and Emelie came to school at 8:15. then we went to Križna Cave. There we got some boots. Then we entered the cave, our guide told us more about the cave. The tour was one hour long. We walked about 15 minutes. Then we went to castle Snežnik.
In the afternoon we had a picnic. We played football and some other sports. there was a lot of food and drinks. We had fun.

Monday – the Swedes came at seven pm. They went home with their hosts. They were staying there.
Tuesday – In the morning the Swedes came in our school. we went in our classroom. The headteacher was also there. We separated in groups. We had check point in Rakek. We went in the post office, train station, in the kindergarten, … We finished at two o’clock.
Wednesday – We went to Ljubljana. It was great. we had a lot of free time. We also ate ice cream. We went to Rožnik. In the afternoon we went on the beach in San Simon. Our day finished at half past seven.
Thursday – In the morning we went to Križna Cave. There it was very interesting. We also rode with with a small boat. Then we went to the castle Grad Snežnik.
Friday – On Friday we had a lot of activities. We could cook, play traditional games, made wooden models of a hayrack, a handmade witch, … At twelve o’clock the Swedish students left our school. We were sad, but we were glad to have met them.

On Wednesday morning we went to Ljubljana with the Swedish students. When we came there, we first took a photo. Then we separated in two groups. then we went to Rožnik where we listened to some different presentations about Ivan Cankar. We also went to Drama. At twelve o’clock we went to Prešeren’s square and had some free time. When we had free time, we went to get some ice cream. When we finished the tour around Ljubljana, we went swimming in the Adriatic Sea. There we had a snack. We were there for about three hours. At half past six we went on a bus. We finished this day at half past seven.

I’m going to describe our school field trip which was on Wednesday. At first we all meet at the school yard and went on two buses to Ljubljana. When we came there, we all gathered to take a picture in park Tivoli. There we walked to the hill which is called Cankarjev vrh. From there we walked to the centre where we had a free hour and me and my friends went to McDonald’s. We stayed there for 40 minutes and then we walked to the fountain where we met the Swedish students. then we walked to the coach and went to Unec to pick up some new teachers. When we picked them up, we went to Izola. When we came there, we walked to the beach. There we changed to our swimsuits and went swimming. We swam for a long time and when we came out of the water, we played some football. Then we changed clothes and went back to the coach. From Izola we travelled back to Rakek where the trip ended.

On Monday the Swedish students came to Rakek at 7 o’clock. They went to Slovenian students’ homes with them. On Tuesday the Swedish students came to our school. At 8:20 we had a welcome meeting and then check point. At two o’clock we finished school. We went home. On Wednesday we took a tour of Ljubljana and went swimming in the Adriatic Sea. We finished at 7 o’clock. On Thursday we visited Križna Cave and took a tour of castle Snežnik. We finished at two o’clock. On Friday we had workshops, we made useful things, we had crafts, we worked with wood, we painted, played traditional games, made a handmade witch, pillows, a wooden model of a hayrack, painted beehive panels. then we took farewell, we waved and then evaluated this week. We finished at one o’clock.

We had normally school. At 18:30 the Sweden students arrived. We took them home.
In the morning we had a reception. Then we were in groups and we played check point in Rakek; we had to take some photos.
In the afternoon we took my Swedish friend to Postojna cave.
At first we went to park Tivoli so that we could see Cankarjeva hišo, Rožnik and other sights connected to Ivan Cankar. The Swedes went another way. I and my schoolmates had a speech at the pick location. At 13.30 we went to the seaside, we swam there and at 19:30 we were home.
At 8:20 we went to Križna cave. There we saw a skeleton of a cave bear and a skeleton of a brown bear. Then we went to castle Snežnik. At 14:00 we were home.
At 5 o’clock we had a picnic so we played some football, volleyball. My mum, I, Benjamin and my sister went to Slivnica after the picnic.
In the morning we had some workshops and then the Swedish students were leaving. They had to bring their luggage. We had 5 workshops and we could pick two of them.
At 12:00 the Swedish student left. We evaluated the week.
It was a super nice week!

The Swedish students arrived at seven P.M. Then they went home with their hosts, had dinner and went to sleep.
Next day we had the checkpoint around Rakek. There were Lenart L., William, Engla, Eva, Mari and me in our team. We didn’t go the whole way around Rakek, because we were lazy. After that we played football in front of the school.
On Wednesday we went to Ljubljana by bus. We had a separated tour (Swedish and Slovene students). After that, we all went to the coast. We stayed there for 3-4 hours. We came back to the school at 7 P.M.
On Thursday we went to Križna jama. The Swedish students said that it was cold in there. After that we went to castle Snežnik. It was interesting for the Swedish students, but boring to us because we’ve been there a lot of times with the class.
The last day, we had workshops. Swedish students were really good at handcrafting. They made a lot of things. They left the school at approximately one o’clock.

It was Tuesday. We collected checkpoints and took pictures of Rakek. There were Anis, Tine, Sašo, Primož, Oscar, Asa and me in my group. We were in Rakek. I saw the train station and the church. I felt good.

Me and William woke up at 06.30. We had a shower, got dressed and then we had breakfast. At 7.45 we went to school. Then we visited Križna cave. It was very cold and interesting. Then we went to castle Snežnik. On the way home Jon puked. So Sigge who stayed at Jons house had to go with me and William. Then we left Sigge at Jon’s house and Samo went to hospital. So then Felix who was staying with Samo stayed at my place. At three p.m. I had a music school lesson, so I left William and Felix with Anže. Then at 5 p.m. we had a picnic until 7 p.m. Then my friends and the Swedish stayed at the school playground. At 10.30 p.m. we went home and talked about stuff. At 12 p.m. we went to bed.

It was Wednesday. We woke up at ten past seven a.m. We went to school at eight o’clock. There was my friend Oscar* with me. At twenty past eight we went to Ljubljana by bus. We rode for about forty-five minutes. When we exited the bus we saw Audi RS. It’s a sport car. It was very beautiful. Then we separated with the Swedish students. We went on a walking tour of Ljubljana. We went to some important locations in the life of Ivan Cankar. Everybody said some things about Ivan Cankar at different locations. In the middle of a tour we had a snack. After the tour we went to Prešeren square. From there we could go wherever we wanted. We met again at the same place at one o’clock. We met with the Swedish students too. We went to the bus again. We went to the seaside with the Swedish students. We rode for about one hour. We went to San Simon. There we swam in the sea and played games like football. At seven o’clock we went home again by bus. We arrived at about half past seven.

INTERNATIONAL WEEK EXCHANGE (SWEDEN – SLOVENIA)
Day 3 – Wednesday
When we got to school we got some snack and a juice. We made two groups and went on a coach. Then we drove to Ljubljana. There the Swedish students went on a tour of the capital of Slovenia – Ljubljana. We went on a hill Rožnik. From there we had a very good view of Ljubljana. We also learned some things about Ivan Cankar, one of the best Slovenian writers. Then we went to Prešeren Square. We could go in shops and get ice cream. Then we went on a coach again and went to Unec, where the teachers changed. After that we went straight to Izola. We came there and settled under the trees. We got ready and went in to the sea. We swam for a very long time. After swimming we got an ice cream. We went home at half past seven. It was a very long day but in the end we had fun.

On Wednesday we went to Ljubljana. There we walked up the hill Rožnik. When we were at the top of the hill some students said some information of Ivan Cankar and his house. We saw Ivan Cankar’s statue. Then we had a snack there. After the snack we went to Prešeren square and had about 1 hour free time to eat ice cream, go to Mc Donalds or something like this. Then we sat on the bus and went to the seaside. When we arrived, we moved to beach. There we swam, some were resting and some students bought ice cream. When it was time to go home we packed our things and went to the bus. About 19:30 we came home. It was a very nice school field trip.

On Monday the Swedish students came at about 19h o’clock. They came with a coach. Here we had a drink and then we went home.
On Tuesday morning we went to school by bus. Here we had checkpoint in Rakek. In the afternoon we hung out with friends. We played different games with ball.
On Wednesday first we went to Ljubljana and then we went to the sea side. At about eight o’clock we came home.
On Thursday first we visited castle Snežnik and then we visited Križna cave. In the afternoon we had a picnic. There it was a lot of fun.
On Friday we stayed at school and we had workshops. Then we said farewell.

On Monday the Swedish students came to Rakek at 7 o’clock. They went to Slovenian student homes with them. On Tuesday Sweden students came to our school. At 8:20 we had a welcome meeting and then checkpoint. At two o’clock we finished school. We went home. On Wednesday we took a tour of Ljubljana and went swimming in the Adriatic Sea. We finished at 7 o’clock. On Friday we had workshops, made useful things, had crafts, worked with wood, painted, played traditional games, made a handmade witch, pillows, cakes, a wooden model of a hayrack, painted beehive panels. On Wednesday we went to school. Then we took a bus and we went to Ljubljana. The Swedish went with Swedish- Slovene Society for a walk of Ljubljana and the Slovenians went with the teachers. We went to Rožnik and to Tivoli. Then we took a bus again and went to the beach. There we swam in the Simon bay. Then we went home with a bus.

On Wednesday we went to Ljubljana and Izola. In Ljubljana we went walking to Rožnik. At 13:00 we went to the seaside. We went swimming and fishing. At 18:00 we went home in Rakek and Unec.

Day 3 – Wednesday
When we came to school we got a snack. We went to Ljubljana with two buses. When we came to Ljubljana, Slovenians went to Rožnik, Swedish students went with Swedish-Slovene Society. On Rožnik we ate a snack. We went to Prešeren’s square. Then we went to Izola. We swam in the sea. There we bought an ice cream. At half past seven we went home. It was fun.
Matej Mavsar, 7. a
On Monday the Swedish students weren’t there yet, so we had normal lessons. On Tuesday we split into groups. In each group there were Swedish and Slovenian students. Then we walked around Rakek and we collected points with taking photos. It was very hot that day. Around 12.00 we finished with this activity and then we waited for results. Our group was on second place. For prize we got an ice cream. Then we went home. Next day we went to Ljubljana. Between walking to Rožnik we learnt about Ivan Cankar’s live. In the afternoon we went to the seaside in Izola. There we swam, ate ice cream and hung out with each other. There it was really fun. We came home about 19.30.
On Thursday we went to Križna cave. There we drove with a boat. It was very nice. Then we also went to Castle Snežnik. At 19.00 the students who were on program Sweden and the Swedish students had a picnic. Because me and some of my friend weren’t on this program we went out and we had a great time together. On Friday we were at school. We had some workshops. I was on traditional games and cooking workshop. We cooked some pastry and they were very good. At 12.00 the Swedish students went home. Some students were really sad. After we said goodbye we had to evaluate the activities. Then we ate the pastry which we cooked at the workshop. And that was the end of this beautiful week.

The Swedish students came to School Rakek again.
They went on a field trip around Rakek on the first day.
The first hour they were in the classroom where the students met the Swedish teachers. After that the Rakek choir sang a song. The Swedish students were very impressed.
At this event there was also the mayor and the school principle.
During the trip they collected points, took photos, and also did some interesting tasks.
Three groups won but the prize was only some ice cream, so the other student weren’t jealous.
We will let you know what happened the next day.

On Mondays eve we got Swedish students. Next day we came to school where we welcomed them. Then we walked through Rakek and took photos. On Wednesday we went to Ljubljana and then to the seaside. On Thursday we went to Križna cave and to Snežnik castle. On Friday we worked in workshops. Then we said goodbye to them.
